Last time I came to visit le 505 was pre pandemic, and I went to horse.... Big mistake ... if you have to pick a NE (?) abq bar, pick Billy's! This time I had to come to my last spot... Rip Dave, we were supposed to sit in hell fire together next time I came.. but Billy's remains unchanged in a rare Non cringeworthy way which I dig. I first came here with a fake id , worked there couple years later, and I've grown up a shit ton since I perma parked my car there, at least every Sunday funday. Yall may have bid me adieu for my new home in the Albuquerque by the sea (iykyk) but trust me readers, the food is good and the servers aren't bad., if they are ignoring you, you're probably being an asshole... but if they still pool our I mean the tips, you know there's a worthless one in the midst milking it all!!!! Jk! ( or am I?) bye guys love you all - M

Make sure to ask how much your drink is. BECAUSE, we went there for Silver Coin margaritas and were charged $9.50 consistently. Then one visit this particular bartender added an extra $4.50 for cointreau. That ingredient is in the Silver Coin margarita! Whatever. She didn't care to discuss it. So that was a BIG turn off. The cold beer is good.

Best dive bar in my opinion. I like the variety of people you meet here while playing pool. Their nachos are fire and the drinks are always on point. The service is always amazing. I never feel like I am waiting too long even if there are a lot of people. I love coming here for the service specifically. This one time a girl was hustling people playing pool. The server noticed her and shut that down right away. She didn't have to help but it was cool for her to be looking out.

Good old Billy's. I've been coming here since 1987, and it is pretty much the same cool bar it was then. They only difference is Billy bought the old Pizza Hut that was next door, added the Hellfire Room, and put in his own kitchen. I have to admit, I'm old. I'l probably not coming here later at night, but it's a great spot for a beer after work and an easy snack or meal. The food here is good. Maybe not great, but good. The wings are solid, the queso is good. The steak strips are tasty (decent gravy!), and their Reuben is pretty darn good. The bartenders are good at their jobs and keep the drinks flowing. Alex is particularly good! Great neighborhood bar, good for groups!
